Sema bekirovic is a dutch artist who creates photographs, videos and installations that ‘capture the
friction created by the chances of nature and design of culture’. in her photography series ‘props’, bekirovic crated a series of sculptures that look like contemporary skyscrapers. the structures are all
reflective on the outside; made using mirrors to simulate the shinny glass found on skyscrapers.
however, unlike skyscrapers, bekirovic models are only three-sided, like stage props used in theatre
productions. In the photos, the props are placed in the dessert appearing to be real, resembling
